Development of Flexible-grid 1x40 Wavelength Selective Switch

Abstract(in English) A high port count wavelength selective switch can scale up add/drop port ratio in a network node. We develop a flexible-grid 1x40 WSS and achieve low insertion loss of 9.5 dB, average 0.5-dB bandwidth of 36.8 GH (50 GHz-grid) and bandwidth flexibility of 6.25-GHz resolution.
