Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We report an experimental study of beam steering for 60 GHz-band array-antenna utilizing Radio-over-Fiber (RoF) technique. In order to alleviate bandwidth restriction of optical modulators and RF power fading caused by chromatic dispersion, an optical two-tone technique is adopted for 60 GHz-band RF signal generation. It has been experimentally confirmed that RoF signal wavelength tuning in a central office yields relative RF phase shift due to the effect of fiber chromatic dispersion, and the array-antenna beam can be remotely steered from the central office.
