Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a space environment, there are many space radiations. Therefore, the use of field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in a space environment is being expected. Using an FPGA, a failure part can be repaired by reconfiguration. However, it is difficult for FPGAs to have a high radiation tolerance because always, a serial configuration is firstly damaged by radiation. This paper discusses about radiation tolerance of optically reconfigurable gate arrays compared with radiation tolerance of FPGAs.
