Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a routing protocol for drive-thru Internet access in delay tolerant vehicular networks. The contribution of this paper is two-folds. First, we propose a new approach which utilizes the concept of delay tolerant network (DTN) to supplement the conventional communication approach. Second, we propose an algorithm to schedule DTN transmissions in order to maximize the system throughput. The proposed protocol is able to attain higher TCP throughput than the conventional approach by providing more efficient wireless resource utilization. We use computer simulations to evaluate the proposed protocol.
