Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report analyzes dynamics of steam supply networks that include multiple steam boilers coupled via steam pipes. First of all, we propose a mathematical model of transient flow in a general network by modifying its standard graph-based representation of steady flow. It is demonstrated with physical modeling that the proposed model is applicable to a steam supply network under several assumptions. Then, based on the incidence matrix of the graph in the model, we provide conditions for existence and stability of equilibrium points of the steam supply network model. Thereby, it is shown that the set of equilibrium points becomes a normally hyperbolic invariant manifold. The existence of the invariant manifold is expected to become a mathematical foundation of the stable operation of steam supply network.
