Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Reflector Backed Dipole antennas have been widely used for base station antennas in mobile communication systems. In this report, we show that loading loop parasitic elements in the Reflector Backed Dipole antenna can enlarge the operating bandwidth of the antenna. The analysis of the influence on the operating bandwidth and the resonance frequency due to the shape and position of the loop-shaped parasitic elements was conducted by the moment method. The validity of the simulation results is verified by measuring S 11 and radiation characteristics of a prototype antenna, which is designed based on the simulation result.
