Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, service areas in cellular systems by using microcells or femtocells are widespread. In the mobile radio link design, several path loss estimation formulas are used. Radio propagation characteristics of the mobile systems in the slope areas are, however, not clear. In this study, we tried to correct the formula in urban areas to fit into slope areas within the distance of 1km from the base station. We propose a correction method taking account of the vertical plane angle, and the ratio of parallel course with respect to the base station. The correction method is based on our measurements using 2,100MHz band radio waves in cellular systems under different slope environments in Hiroshima, Okayama and Kitakyusyu in Japan. As a result, it was confirmed that the correction was effective to estimate the propagation path loss in the different slope areas.
