Abstract(in English) | LDACS1 (L-band Digital Aeronautical Communication System, Type 1) is a candidate system for future aeronautical data link. LPES (LDACS Physical layer Experimental System), which has been developed by us, can measure BER (Bit Error Rate) characteristics of LDACS signals under various channel environments. In this paper, we improve the performances of LPES and evaluate BER characteristics of LDACS signals under fading channels. The fading channels are simulated with a fading simulator. Four environments such as simple frequency shift, flight in en-route, landing/taking-off in terminal area and moving in airport are provided for the simulator. After some experiments, we have found that the BER characteristics on reverse link are much worse than on forward link. |
