Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The base station's sleep is effective for reducing the power consumption of micro base station. We have ever studied the impact of the base station's sleep to user throughput but the suitable sleep control for maintaining the large user throughput and reducing the power consumption of base station has not been clarified, yet. This paper proposes the novel distributed control sleep method based on the distance between the user and the base station. We clarify the tradeoff between the user throughput and the number of slept base stations by computer simulation. In addition, we show the good tradeoff is achieved by the proposed sleep control.
