A Study on TDM based Wireless Control with Priority Control

Abstract(in English) Wireless control system is essential technology to realize a factory automation. This paper focuses on the scenario where a single controller controls multiple plants via wireless communication links, and proposes a novel TDMA based multiple access technique. In TDMA based system, the system divides the time resources into several time-slots and allocates them to individual users (plants). As a result, it can utilize the whole frequency band. However, since several users have to share the time resource, the time interval that each user can utilize its own time slot becomes long, which results in the degradation of control quality. Thus, we have to carefully design a TDAM based wireless control considering above facts. This paper proposes the TDMA with the reserved time-slot which can be assigned to arbitrary plant. The proposed TDMA system can flexibility control the plant who needs recovery by using the reserved time-slot. The computer simulations reveals that our proposed system can improve both reliability and quality of control. Furthermore, we discuss about the impact of the criterion that the system chooses which plant should be assigned the reserved time-slot and compare these performances.
