Abstract(in English) | Along with advance of people-to-machine communication and machine-to-machine communication, it is expected that the size of networks becomes huge and their network environments change very dynamically. In order to realize such networks, it is necessary to develop assurance network technologies, by which services are provided in a real time way even when diverse service requirements and network environments and their extreme changes, faults that cause unpredictable failures, and attacks to security occur. We have performed research and development on assurance network technologies, which have been partially supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) under the Grand-in-Aid for Scientific Research, in which "Assurance Network Design Principle and Its Applications" has been executed from fiscal 2012 to 2014 and by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) under the Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme (SCOPE), in which "Dual-Purpose Normal and Disaster Situations Systems Based on Assurance Network Design Principle" has been executed in fiscal 2013. In these projects, based on the assurance design principle we have proposed unified design and evaluation technologies and their various elemental technologies and constructed simulation environments of assurance networks and their testbeds for field experiments. This paper introduces the unified technologies for design and evaluation of assurance networks, which consist of autonomous divided network structure configuration and real-time self-organized control, their applications to MANET and the delay and disruption tolerant Bluetooth MANET-based word-of-mouth propagation system and dual-purpose normal and disaster situations system. |
