Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Rough Sets theory is widely used as a method for estimating and/or inducing knowledge structure of if-then rules from a decision table after reduct of the table which is constructed by the necessary and sufficient condition attributes to induce the rules. This paper presents results of a retest on reduct ability of the conventional method by the use of simulation data sets after summarizing it briefly and points out the problems of the conventional one. We then propose a new reduct method based on a statistical view. The validity and usefulness of the method is confirmed by applying to the simulation data sets.
