Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Various wireless devices and protocols have been developed to satisfy several requirements. We have been researching for radio space virtualization and distribution using software radio technology, to be a common platform for those devices and protocols. As the platform is implemented using cloud computing resources and shared among many users, it is necessary to manage computation resources, such as network bandwidth, disk I/O bandwidth and CPU time. In the time-shifted distribution of radio space, the mainly bottleneck of storage server could be disk I/O bandwidth. The previous research demonstrates that the limitation of disk I/O bandwidth improves fairness of disk I/O bandwidth allocation. However, the static bandwidth limitation may leave surplus bandwidth and cause performance deterioration. In this paper, we propose a dynamic bandwidth limitation management method and evaluate its effect against I/O bitrate and time. The evaluation results indicate the proposal can improve fairness of disk I/O bandwidth allocation without performance deterioration.
