Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, performance characteristics of a boundary current mode power factor correction (PFC) circuit without a current sensor are studied. The ac-dc converter is widely used to improve the power factor. Especially, the boundary current mode PFC has many advantages. It achieves the high power factor and low current distortion. In the presented method, the equation of reactor current is derived from the analysis of the boost converter. Then the zero-crossing points are predicted by those equations.
