Abstract(in English) We report a silicon optical modulator module for digital coherent networks. A silicon modulator chip in the module contains two in-phase quadrature modulators, a polarization multiplexing waveguide, and germanium photodiodes for power monitoring. The modulator chip and 4-ch driver amplifiers are assembled into a ceramic package with a low profile and a small footprint of 35×15×4.5 mm^3. 1000-km transmission is demonstrated in 128-Gb/s dual-polarization quadrature phase-shift-keying format using the packaged module.
