Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the present version of our "integrated narrative generation system", each noun concept in an event's conceptual representation is selected in random from one or more categories. And basically each noun word in a sentence is described based on a noun concept selected in the sentence generation mechanism. A noun concept are directly related to the word in the integrated narrative generation system. One of the above mechanism is that the characteristics of selected noun concept are inconsistent or extraordinary words often appear since a variety types of noun concepts (ordinary/extraordinary, old/new, easy/difficult, etc.) are mixed in a category. In this paper, we select noun concepts and the words based on the frequency of noun words in texts of Japanese modem novels mainly to solve the above problem. Using the proposed method enables to select understandable concepts and the words. In contrast, we can also make difficult sentences to read intentionally.
