Abstract(in English) | After the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident in March 2011, the danger of the NPP and radiation, the issue of radioactive waste management came to light. Having accurate knowledge about radiation risk is vital to judge situations correctly, so education is crucial. However, the present conditions in compulsory education in Japan, the radiation risk education is not taught sufficiently. The author has been teaching radiation risk in the elementary and junior high schools in various places in Japan since September 2011, and this research focus on the analysis result of the lectures given to 6th graders. The classes are analyzed from association tests given before and after the radiation class. The response words are categorized and counted. According to the result, it seemed the children learned about radiation, their impression toward radiation have changed and they became enabled to judge the radiation risk objectively Moreover, by radiation risk education, the children of the stricken area and a non-stricken area tend to be able to share the impression over the radiation. The purpose of this paper is to explore the method of analysis, basis of the evaluation and the evaluation method. |
