Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are large numbers of emotional expressions in the texts of microblogs such as Twitter. In this study, emotional expressions in tweets were analyzed quantitatively in the light of Twitter users' characteristics such as the users' posting frequency and the users' follow-follower relationship on Twitter. As a result, the heavy users tended to use offensive words. As they had many followers, it is suggested that their offensive tweets would be often regarded as affirmative and interesting. On the other hand, the casual users tended to use words expressing personal emotions such as nonoffensive unpleasant ones and positive ones. It is suggested that they would like to share their emotions with their relatively limited followers.
