| Abstract(in English) | We studied the eye-hand coordination in tracing tasks. Six people^ two professional calligraphers and four with varied experiences in calligraphy, participated in this study. We measured the relative position of pen-tip and the gaze, and characterized (1) the temporal and spatial relationships between two measurements. From the speed of eye movement, we obtained (2) the rate of fixation and smooth pursuit (3) saccade frequency. In professional calligraphers, the gaze proceeds the pen-tip, while there was a variation in the eye movement among the subjects. |
