Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the demand to cut the DC high voltage and the heavy-current by electric contact has risen. Experimental apparatus that is able to set opening velocity wide-range at an equal speed was produced. The experiments that had set the closed contact current to 10A and 20A under the E=200V was carried out with this apparatus. And, the arc duration time and voltage and current waveforms of the arc breaking were observed. As a result, it has been understood the arc duration is in inverse proportion to opening velocity. This was the same as past research results.
