Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To evaluate the effectiveness of the index for evaluating the degree of arteriosclerosis, using the neck simulated phantoms are useful. From the viewpoint of ultrasonic propagation characteristics and mechanical, We fabricated a phantoms similar to the surrounding tissues and carotid. Soft styrene elastomer in phantoms of the carotid artery so as to extend may be a thick, the surrounding tissues are proposed konjac gel containing much water. And, determine the modulus tensile test to these materials. Also, The modulus than theory to model the carotid artery and the surrounding tissue using a compound cylinder, and compared with the elastic modulus of the tensile test, to perform the discussion.
