Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mutifrequency microwave radiometry is one of the promising methods for monitoring the deep brain temperature during the hypothermic treatment in newborn baby who suffers from a hypoxic-ischemic insult. We have reported the temperature measurement error of about 2 ℃ at 5 cm depth from the surface in a phantom experiment and the existence of the bubbles accumulated on the antenna surface during measurement was a possible cause for the error. This paper describes the recent result on a phantom experiment after taking several measures and shows the feasibility of the non-invasive brain temperature measurement for a clinical use.
