Self Calibration of Six-Port Correlator Based VNA

Abstract(in English) In the previous research, we have proposed the homodyne six-port correlator (SPC) based VNA, which can measure the S-parameter of device under test (DUT). A 4-Term error correction method was also proposed to improve the accuracy of reflection coefficient measurement. However, this method requires measurement by other external VNA. In this work, we propose "phase shifter easy method" to determine the system parameters of SPC and applied 12-term error correction to the SPC based VNA. Measurement process can be divided into three steps: determining system parameters of SPC, acquiring error terms by calibration standards, and measuring DUT. The details and validation of the method were reported in this paper.
