Abstract(in English) To excite the dielectric-tube-supported metal rod transmission line proposed with the aim to create low-loss and flexible transmission lines in millimeter-wave bands, the transition between that and 1mm coaxial cable was fabricated and the characteristics of the transition were evaluated at 80GHz. First, the higher order modes and the characteristics of the transition model were considered. Next, the transmission lines and the transition between that and 1mm coaxial cable were fabricated, and the transmission characteristics at 80GHz bands were measured. In this paper, the consideration items, the structure of the transition, and measured transmission characteristics are reported.
