Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the high frequency, such as millimeter-wave frequencies, the gain of a MOSFET is small, therefore the gain of an amplifier per one stage is limited. As a result, many stages are required to obtain sufficient gain. Moreover, the frequency characteristic of the gain should be flat. However, the gain and the bandwidth are in a trade-off relationship. It is difficult to realize high gain with the flat frequency characteristic. Therefore, in this study, we proposed the method to realize high gain of an amplifier per one stage using analytical expressions. Moreover, we considered how to design a multistage amplifier which has high gain with the flat frequency characteristic and small input and output reflections by using a numerical search.
