Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A one-shot system is a system that can be used only once during its life, whose failures are detected only through inspections. In this paper, we discuss maintenance policies including inspections and replacements for a one-shot system, which consists of one unit or two units series. In a two-unit system, unit 1 is inspected periodically to detect failures and is repaired minimally at failure detecion. Unit 2 is replaced periodically without inspections. Our goal is to determine optimal inspection policies that achieve a required availability and minimize the expected cost rate.
