Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a colorimetric conversion from the UHDTV wide-color gamut to the HDTV gamut without changing hue, it is desirable that perceived hue corresponds to that predicted by a color model used for the conversion. We previously measured perceived hue lines in the CIELAB color space by a subjective evaluation using color patches and found non-linearity in the cyan region. We conducted another subjective evaluation using natural images containing cyan colors in the hue range of 180° to 280° and found required adjustment of hue angles when converting those images to the HDTV gamut. We also investigated a color gamut mapping algorithm that keeps perceived hues based on the experiment result.
