Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A novel scheme for digital image expansion without artifact is introduced, which utilizes Half-pixel information. The conventional method achieves accurate Half-pixel interpolation, and enlarges the original image by using convolution of Lanczos function. However Expansion Image appeared impulse artifact by conventional method. The proposed method uses new fuzzy set and fuzzy rule when generating Half-pixel. Thus, the resolution of the digital image is increased by the proposed interpolation. Simulation results show the performance of the proposed approach is superior to that of the conventional cubic convolution method and conventional method.
