A study on Determination of the Angle Information Parameter Value in Color2Gray Algorithm

Abstract(in English) In color-to-monochrome transformation, usually, the lightness components in an input color image are used for gray levels of an output monochrome image. A problem with this transformation is that the distinction between two different colors of same lightness is lost. In order to solve this problem, Gooch et al. proposed the Color2Gray algorithm which reflects difference of colors in an input image to an output monochrome image. The angle parameter, which is one of three parameters in the Color2Gray, is discussed in this report. Moreover, we propose the automatic tuning method of the angle parameter for each input image.
