Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a genetic algorithm (GA)-based shift roster creating method considering the individual preference of nurses. In the conventional methods, the shift roster is created with considering the individual preference. However, the created shift roster satisfies the working guideline for nurses. In this paper, we propose a modified GA-based shift roster creating method. The proposed method employs new constraints for consecutive working days and modify the conventional method. Furthermore, we modify the fitness function. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed method are confirmed by various simulation.
