Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Formant is one of the most important characteristic parameters of speech. Linear prediction method is a representative method for formant estimation. It is known that the more flat the spectrum of the speech is, the more accurate performance the liner predictive analysis results in. Pre-emphasis is utilized as pre-processing to emphasize the high frequency components of speech regardless to the input speech. In this paper a new pre-processing approach is proposed so that we can modify the high frequency enhancement depending on the speech.
