Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we examined difference limens for sound localization at subjective front during passive rotation by using a spinning chair. A sound stimulus (30-ms pinknoise) was presented during the chair rotated. The listener, sitting in the chair, was requested to answer whether the sound stimulus was presented from the left or right of the subjective front (2AFC). Results showed that difference limens of passive rotation conditions were larger than that of head static condition regardless of rotation speeds used in the experiment (5-20 deg/s). This tendency is same as that in our previous research that examined difference limens during active head rotation.
