Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To cope with a rapid increase of mobile network traffic, network providers are in need of efficient usage of limited network resources to improve quality of user experiences. In this paper, we propose a time-shift traffic control method which avoids a collision of traffic that causes degradation. The method decides in-network shift time for a traffic based on a network congestion status and a character of the traffic, and it queueing a non-realtime traffic briefly at a node in a network when the network is congested. We measured a throughput by adding a synthetic workload for a prototype system, and we obtained 60.6% of throughput improvement. From this result, we find that the proposed method is effective for avoidance of network congestion.
