Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In February, 2012, ARIB STD-T-109 is standardized by Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) for IVC (Inter-Vehicle Communications) and RVC (Road-Vehicle Communications), and ITS applications in 700 MHz band have been developed. ARIB STD-T109 makes use of Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) as IVC communication system. The vehicles generate a packet in order to broadcast information of the vehicle periodically. CSMA/CA is adopted by the wireless LAN system and the vehicles transmit IVC frame when the random waiting period reaches 0. It is possible to decrease packet collision if the packet is generated at random times. Although this scheme is useful for generating the packet at random times, we can improve the access scheme for the IVC communication system in which the packet is generated periodically. In this paper, we propose a new access scheme focused on the periodic characteristic of the packet generation in the IVC communication. By computer simulations, we evaluate the proposed method in comparison with the conventional one.
