Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Carrier frequency synchronization between ONUs is one of the main issues for applying OFDMA to PON system. In this paper, we implemented the digital remote laser synchronization technique in the 3Gbaud real-time IFDMA transmitter and demonstrated 3×ONU coherent OFDMA-PON uplink transmission using a real-time IFDMA transmitter with an asynchronous 100kHz linewidth source. The digital remote laser synchronization technique enables the subcarrier multiplexing over a 40km SMF link.
