Abstract(in English) | The eigenvalue of the associated equation of Manakov equation is invariable whenever complex envelopes of two orthogonal electric fields propagating in nonlinear dispersive fiber can be described by Manakov equation. Therefore the eigenvalue can be used as ideal information carrier in polarization multiplexed optical fiber transmission system. In this paper, we propose methods to distinguish two polarization states and to demodulate eigenvalues in each polarization channel based on digital coherent technology. We also numerically demonstrate the feasibility of the optical transmission system based on polarization multiplexed optical eigenvalue modulated system. |
