Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Metal complex systems, thiacalixarene-lanthanide(III) and radical-ligand-platinum(II), exhibited peculiar signaling functions such as long-lived luminescence, near-infrared absorption and luminescence, and ^1H relaxivity, leading to bio-imaging and medical diagnosis. Furthermore, emergence of photothermal effects and production ability of reactive oxygen species can lead to therapeutic effect. These metal complexes can realize theranostics, i.e. unification of diagnosis and therapy.
