Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper develops a low-profile antenna suitable for a new emerging wireless harness communication used in a metal-rich confined volume. The developed antenna is composed of the connection of a feeding microstrip patch and a slotted ground plane with a via hole, thereby producing dual resonances for bandwidth enhancement. It also provides the stability of the reflection characteristic when the antenna is placed very close to metallic obstacles, without using any additional impedance matching networks. It can be confirmed numerically and experimentally that the developed antenna realizes a good reflection characteristic with VSWR less than 3 in a wide bandwidth greater than 10% at 2.4 GHz band, even when a distance between the antenna and a metal plate is 0.03 wavelength.
