A Printed Elliptical Monopole Antenna for Circular Polarization

Abstract(in English) Authors propose a wideband printed elliptical monopole antenna for circularly polarized wave. With simulations, the relationships between the antenna's geometrical parameters and the antenna's characteristics (axial ratio of circularly polarized wave and vswr) are clarified. The simulated axial ratio and vswr are compared with the measured results. The simulated and measured bandwidth (3dB-axial ratio with 2-vswr) are 88.4% and 83.2%, respectively. The radiation pattern of the designed antenna are stable at the high elevation angles in the operational frequency range.
