Realizing a Homing-Human Image for Real-time Notification using Bluetooth Beacons

Abstract(in English) We implemented a homing-human image signage system. The system can track a specific moving user and provide an image of the user's colleague or boss, which migrates between displays, to the moving user. To track the user, the system estimates the user's position with signal intensities of Bluetooth beacons. Conventional methods using only the signal of Bluetooth beacons could not estimate a direction of a user's eye gaze. In this paper, we develop a novel method with not only Bluetooth beacon but also an electromagnetic compass to estimate the direction. Our method enables the system to select a display appropriate to the direction of a user's eye gaze.
