Abstract(in English) Enhancement of Eu-related luminescence intensity in Eu,O-codoped GaN (GaN:Eu,O) was demonstrated by embedding a GaN:Eu,O layer in a microcavity with an AlGaN/GaN distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) and a Ag reflecting mirror. The enhancement of radiative transition probability was 1.3-fold in the microcavity and the PL intensity was 18.4 times larger than that without the microcavity.
