Abstract(in English) | We have been studying SOSCast, a smartphone application which enables the collection of SOS messages from immobilized persons and delivers them to rescuers in an area with disrupted communication services. In our previous study, although we proposed an information sharing method with reduction of battery consumption and evaluate it through simulation experiments, the effectiveness was limited due to the small battery consumption for sending data. In this paper, to make it more effective, we propose an information sharing method based on on/off control of WLAN devices. The simulation results showed that the proposed method achieves 20-30 % improvement for battery life of smartphones. |
