Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we consider methods of applying frequency-selective fading to WLAN based indoor localization system. Frequency-selective fading is that transfer function of the channel is not uniform over the frequency. OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing) is used for communication of WLAN, the channel is divided into subcarriers to be flatfading. Therefore, each subcarrier have a different amplitude and phase. this is called CSI (Channel State Information). In order to know the radio wave propagation environment where the AP and the client are existing, we propose using the state of frequency-selective fading as a metric. We define as the asymmetricity of the amplitude of CSI when center of the channel is an axis. In the experiment, we measured CSI, and evaluated the symmetry as the metric. In experimental results, association between the complexity of radio wave propagation environment and the symmetry of CSI that is defined in this paper was not observed.
