Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In these days, wide-spread of smartphones popularize use of Wireless LAN (WLAN) at home and outdoors. Especially in urban areas, there are numerous WLAN access points (APs) deployed with regardless of public use or home use. Such deployment of WLAN APs cause problems such as throughput degradation and retransmission timeouts due to frequent frame collisions and channel occupation. Some of the public wireless LAN operators deploy APs with Self -Organizing Network (SON) function in order to suppress such interferences and congestions among their own access points. However, it is impossible to adapt such functionalities to all APs owned by different operators, and to home residential gateways. In this paper, advanced MAC protocol for next generation WLAN is studied in order to improve capacity for areas with APs which are deployed densely.
