Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are developing a central-control based WDM/TDM ring network system in order to create future large-scale metro networks cost-effectively. We have recently presented fast resource (wavelength and time-slot) allocation method for efficiently accommodating time varying traffic in large-scale networks. The presented method can realize much faster allocation, however, it causes the degradation in allocation performance in terms of larger required resources especially when accommodating highly-bursty traffic. This paper proposes a new fast resource allocation method which can suppress the required resources. We also report on our performance evaluation through computer simulation.
