Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the increase of colorectal cancer patients in recent years, the needs of quantitative evaluation of colorectal cancer are increased, and the Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system which supports doctor's diagnosis is essential. This paper introduces our proposed FPGA architecture for type identification module for the above CAD system. The fixed point number representation is used for hardware resource reduction. The pipeline processing and massively parallel DSP combination are also used to reduce the computation time to less than one second for a frame, so as to process a Full HD image within real time (1~5 fps).
