Consensus Transmit Power Control Algorithm for Maximizing End-to-end Throughput in Multihop Wireless Networks

抄録(英) This paper proposes a consensus transmit power control (CTPC) algorithm to maximize the end-to-end throughput in the multihop wireless networks (MWNs). Since the effect of interference is a key issue that influences the network capacity performance, minimizing the total interference power can improve the network capacity and reduce the total energy consumption. The network capacity is formulated as the total of end-to-end throughput of all data flows. For each data flow, the CTPC algorithm is used to maximize the end-to-end throughput by controlling the transmit power of all the nodes of the data flow. Simulation results reveal that the proposed CTPC algorithm enables all data flows to accomplish the maximum end-to-end throughput, and at the same time the total interference power and the total power consumption of MWNs are decreasing. In addition, the influence of network density is observed. As a conclusion, the CTPC algorithm exhibits the better performance of the end-to-end throughput when the network size is ranged from 0.8 to 1.0 times.
