| Abstract(in English) | We propose a mechanism for speech synthesis from captured text using camera and translation to help blind persons to read text in the form of their own languages from hand-held objects in their daily lives. Reading is obviously essential in day to day activities. Printed texts exist everywhere in the form of reports, receipts, advertisements, etc. Words are captured using digital camera and the text is extracted from that. Then the extracted text is read using human voice. For their convenience the input language is given by themselves. Based on that the text from the object is read in their own language. |
