Abstract(in English) A multi-core fiber (MCF) having plural cores in one fiber is one of the promising candidates to cope with an exponentially increasing transmission capacity. The structure consists of plural cores requires unique approaches in connecting between MCFs or between MCF and plural single-core fibers (SCF) connection devices and fan-out devices using a butt coupling method or a lens coupling method have been developed in our work. We present the work in this report.
