Abstract(in English) | We have studied Raman amplification in passive optical networks (PON). We have already proposed a use of distributed Raman amplification (DRA) and a use of hybrid-Raman amplification. In this report, we studied system cases using several types of Raman amplification. We clarify the case which can be transmitted only with DRA and the case which cannot be transmitted without the hybrid-Raman amplification. |
